JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Former Jersey City Deputy Mayor Leona Beldini was sentenced today to 36 months in prison for accepting $20,000 in illicit campaign contributions in exchange for her agreement to exercise her official influence and authority to obtain real estate development approvals, United States Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Taylor announced on Friday that the Division of Criminal Justice Major Crimes Bureau has obtained state grand jury indictments charging four men with illegally dumping 18 drums containing inks and used solvents at an industrial property on Johnston Avenue in Jersey City on April 30.
