WEST NEW YORK, N.J. – A West New York man was sentenced Thursday to 18 months in prison for his role in a conspiracy to commit mail fraud and tax evasion, which involved the embezzlement of $1.2 million from his employer by creating fake temporary employees and pocketing their paychecks, Acting U.S. Attorney Ralph J. Marra, Jr. announced.
