BAYONNE, N.J. - The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services announced on Tuesday a fifth death of a New Jersey resident with novel H1N1 influenza.
The individual was a 79-year old Hudson County woman, who died on Friday, June 19 in Bayonne Medical Center. |

BAYONNE, N.J. - The union that represents locked-out nurses and other healthcare workers is reporting that a tentative agreement has been reached with Bayonne Medical Center, which would end the standoff and permit the workers to return to their jobs.

BAYONNE, N.J. - Bayonne Medical Center has announced that it intends to end its lockout of union hospital employees, effective 7:00 a.m. Friday morning.
In a written statement issued today, the hospital said it would be "implementing the terms and conditions of the contract we presented to [the union] on June 3, as we believe that contract is a fair and appropriate one for our employees." |

BAYONNE, N.J. - Hundreds of health care workers found themselves locked out from work at 7:00 a.m. today in the midst of a heated labor battle between their union, Health Professional and Allied Employees, and Bayonne Medical Center.
About three to four hundred health care workers of the 843-member union followed through with plans to picket outside the hospital this morning despite rainy weather. |
