Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor traded verbal jabs on Tuesday, August 22, as the circus-like countdown to their money-spinning superfight cranked into overdrive on the Las Vegas Strip.

In what is touted to be the richest fight of the century, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will take on mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor to show the world who's the boss.

As of Saturday, four separate bets of $1 million or more had been placed on Mayweather to win. And much like himself, Ibrahimovic feels that it is Mc Gregor's self-confidence and belief which gives him an edge over the professional boxer.

The Telegraph has reported that the controversial fight on Saturday is holding good amount of money for both fighters, as Nevada State Athletic Commission confirmed on Friday night that the minimum each fighter will earn is $100million for Mayweather and $30million for McGregor.

McGregor, who has never fought in a professional boxing contest, is a massive underdog for a fight, which is expected to beamed live to around 200 countries and territories across the globe. "Las Vegas is Ireland now".

"Their response nearly universally was 'We don't care if it's a mismatch. if there's a.01 chance that something incredible could happen, we need to watch it'".

"I don't think I can make it to an 11 o'clock fight", Hutzler said.

Mayweather-McGregor is without a championship at stake, though.

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor's guaranteed minimum purse for tonight is $30 million.

Now that the fight is at hand and McGregor has ensured prize money that should exceed $100 million, everything that follows the opening bell will be about how to spin this forward.

Mayweather revealed he had heard McGregor was using IV bags and that he was in line to weigh in over the 154-pound limit.

"That's the worst shape I've ever seen him in", McGregor said afterwards, per USA Today Sports' Martin Rogers. "The thing I really fear, truly fear, is that somebody's going to get really hurt in this upcoming fight".

"This won't go the distance: mark my words". Mayweather is coming out of a two-year retirement for this bout with McGregor. "Mark my words - I'm not anxious about the scales".
