Dilip Kumar will need dialysis, says his doctor

Earlier Aug. 4, a family friend of Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Banu, told IANS that the ailing thespian is being monitored carefully in the ICU due to his age-related complications.

Reports till Thursday night said that the actor's condition had worsened ever since he was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday. Soon, reports emerged that the actor is suffering from kidney dysfunction, and is on a ventilator.

Lilavati Hospital's vice president Ajay Kumar Pandey "Kumar is normal".

Doctors said Kumars kidneys were not functioning properly. "God willing. The doctors are treating him", she told a news agency this morning.

The 94-year-old actor has made several visits to the hospital in the last few years. Fans of the actor are hoping the actor the actor well soon. In 2016, he was hospitalised twice.

Dilip Kumar, fondly known as Dilip Saab was last seen in the film Qila in 1998. Though initially he was admitted into the ward, Dilip Kumar has been shifted later to ICU after he has been battling with renal failure. Dilip Kumar is best known for the films like Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Karma and others.

He was conferred the Padma Bhushan in 1991, Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and India's second highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, in 2015.
