The photo above tweeted by a member of the Russian G20 delegation, and later deleted, shows Ivanka seated at the leaders table between United Kingdom prime minister Theresa May and Chinese president Xi Jinping.

On Thursday, she and her husband, presidential advisor Jared Kushner, attended a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel alongside President Trump, according to the Post.

President Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, sat in for the president among world leaders at a G20 session on Saturday.

The first daughter's presence at the main table was confirmed in a photograph shared on Twitter - and later deleted from the social network - by Svetlana Lukash, Russian President Vladimir Putin's representative to the G20.

Ivanka previously announced the creation of the "Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative" in coordination with the World Bank.

He said: The Russian official probably would not have tweeted it without approval of her bosses and the message it sends out there is: 'You criticise Russia for not being a democracy; well, what kind of democracy is America?'

Ivanka Trump has filled in for her father, sitting with world leaders during the G-20 summit.

'I'm very proud of my daughter, Ivanka - always have been, from day one, ' the president said.

A World Bank source told CNN in May that Ivanka Trump played an "instrumental" role advocating for the facility. In his remarks, the US President has praised his daughter's work for women empowerment.

Ambassador Nikki Haley said Trump had gone into the meeting "to basically look him in the eye, let him know that, yes, we know you did it and cut it out". And onlookers around the world have been astounded by the access she has had during exclusive meetings and events, like the G20 Summit, by standing in for President Trump.

At the G20 Summit in Hamburg on Saturday, Ivanka Trump, a senior White House advisor who has said she "tries to stay out of politics," sat down amongst world leaders while her father, the president, was briefly called away.

"It might be the only bad thing she has going", he added.
