The recall affects certain "My Ride 65" model auto seats manufactured between May 14, 2014 and July 30, 2014, according to a safety advisory from Graco.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the recall of 25,494 Graco Children's Products Inc.

A top manufacturer of child vehicle sear products is recalling harness restraints.

"While waiting for a replacement kit, consumers may continue to use My Ride 65 convertible auto seats", said Danielle Clark, a spokeswoman for Graco's owner, Newell Brands. This could pose a danger to children by not adequately restraining them in the event of a crash.

The company, the release said, is recalling some "My Ride 65" convertible child safety restraints.

The seats were made on July 22, 2014 and the code 2014/06 is on a tag on the harness webbing.

Customers can get replacement kits with new harness restraints and installation instructions. The recall is expected to begin July 17, 2017.

Consumers can contact Graco online or by calling 1-800-345-4109.
